Paper Pumpkin Gurus Alternates for Oct 25

I joined a group called Paper Pumpkin Gurus.  There are currently 12 people in the group and we each design an alternate for the Paper Pumpkin kit of the month.  They all get compiled into a document that we can sell to our customers for $10.  If this is something you'd be interested in please reach out.  You can email me here.
Would you like to know how to get it for free?  Of course you would!!  We all love free instructions!!  If you'd like to get this document for free you can do one of two things, 1) become a Paper Pumpkin subscriber with me as your demo *  2) join my team!!

* if you don't know who the demonstrator is that gets the credit for your kit, you can see that on your online account or call SU directly and ask.  That number is 1 800-782-6787 (1800 STAMP UP). They will tell you who the person is and if they say it's Stampin' UP! you can have it changed to an actual person.  Preferrably me of course...lol, or your preferred demonstrator would appreciate the sales too.  Below is a sneak peek of the documents contents.

Break the monotony with this fun idea

Do you struggle with making multiples of the same card?  Sometimes it gets tedious to keep doing the same thing.  Well, this week I'm showing you how to do three different card styles with pretty much the same layout.  You can shake it up as much or as little as you want for the papers and embellishments, but one easy cut will change the rest.  It adds that little bit of difference between them that will help make it more enjoyable to create a stack of cards.  You can see the video on YouTube.  Don't forget to subscribe to my channel, like me on FB and join my newsletter.  You can join right here from this site, easy peasy.  Below are the cards I made in the video.

Product List

Standard card bases either 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" or 4 1/4 x 11" depending which one you are making
DSP is 3 x 5 1/4" and 1 1/4 x 5 1/4"
one design you need an extra strip of DSP at 1 x 5 1/4"
you can also cut to the 1/8" if you like the smaller border.  I did both here.

Accordian Fun Fold

WOW!  I got sidetracked with my craft show this weekend that I forgot to get my video posted.  It is out on YouTube now, if you want to see it.  You can click here to go right to it.  I found this fun fold online in a creation by Debbie Mageed.  I thought it would be a great use of some designer series paper, I think we all have some of that to use up.  It's really simple and straight forward.  The front embellishing is the hardest part.  Have a great weekend and wish me luck at the craft fair.  I'm mainly on a discovery mission.....hoping people discover me!!  I'd love to find more people to stamp with, some potential customers would even be great.  Hoping mostly to expand my stamping circle, but a few sales would be great too.  I have a lot of kits and miscellaneous items to sell as well.

Push n Pull interactive card this week...

If you watch the video you'll hear the story behind the interactive card I chose for tonight.  It all started in a conversation with my RCD (Resident Creative Director, or my husband Mike) and I chatting about my card for my weekly live while we were on our walk.  So, from that came this.  It is a fun interactive card that is pretty simple to make.  There are so many possibilities for this style of card, occasions galore!  I think you could even make a gift card work on one of the sliders.  I'd have to give it a try to know for sure, but it sure seems like it would work.  Maybe a slimline card would be more in order for it, but it would still work.  HOW FUN!!  You can see the video on YouTube, here.

Cozy Christmas Paper Pumpkin for Oct

I got my alternates ready for the Cozy Christmas kit.  The videos are up on YouTube, or you can view them in the album on Facebook.  I did a variety of folds and kept it pretty close to just kit contents to create them.  I did go rogue and used the box on the 4th card, but you can use any designer series paper and create this fun fold.  I hope you go take a peek and be sure to like/comment on the videos.  It all helps in the world of social media growth.  I am so excited to see so many new names popping up!  I definitely wear a smile from ear to ear when I see them.  Have a great day.

Prairie Grass set with a quick background

Tonight on my live I showed how to make a quick background piece that can be used for multiple cards.  I made 3 different designs using the Prairie Grass stamp set.  The first one was very simple, but really looks great.  From there I moved up to a little bit stepped up and the last card had a bit more wow factor.  They were all very simple to make and with the easy background they came together in no time.  You can see the video on my YouTube channel here.

October Card Class

I had my October card class this past Sunday/Monday.  I like the variety of designs in the mix, so many uses for them.  There is a mix of retired products in these designs as well as several new products.  I often like to use whatever I have on hand that makes up the design I come up with.  I like to encourage people to use the products they have, but do appreciate when they buy the new stuff!!  These are the photos of the cards they made.

This card above uses Autumn Leaves stamps, some vellum and cute little leaves on the two toned paper.

I had never used this Beautiful Thistle stamp set on the above card.  I wish I had used it before now!

this one used the sunflower embossig folder that is such a hit right now.  I put it on the two toned paper so they could sand the embossed part to create the look.  I really like that Need for Tweed paper too.

This card above used the Aspen dies.
