Cracked Glass Technique

Hi, thanks for stopping by.  Tonight for my weekly live I did a fun technique called cracked glass.  You can see the video on YouTube if you are interested in seeing how it comes together.  I have several samples shown here as I had a few practice runs and decided to turn them into cards.  I also had the "mask" that wasn't going to go to waste so I turned that into a card as well.  Thanks for checking it out, I hope you give it a try.  If you do, please post your example on my FB page.  GreenThumb Stampers has a pinned post for projects everyone is working on.  I'd love to have yours there for all to see!!

Here is another card I created recently too.  It was for a friend I used to work with.

Love & Courage card

This week my live was a fun fold using the Love & Courage set.  This set is the one that SU will donate $3 to breast cancer organizations for every set sold.  What a great cause and a pretty cool set!  I gave a list of supplies for anyone that wanted to have stuff ready and play along with me.  I'm not sure how many did that, but a few have made it at some point.  I think that is just wonderful!  It makes me feel good to see that.  You can see the video on YouTube if you want to watch it.  Below is the card and the supplies I used.

WCMD Video Extravaganza projects

Last Saturday was World Card Making Day.  I hope you were able to participate in one way or another.  I know I was online doing live videos for quite awhile and others were as well.  Tons of creativity was shared all over the world.  My videos are here
Session 1: One Sheet Wonder

Session 2a: Spooky Halloween   my microphone battery died so I ended and got back on so there are two segments for Halloween.

Session 2b: Halloween continued

Session 3: Christmas

If you'd like the dimensions for the projects you can click here for the pdfs I created.

September Paper Pumpkin alternates

These are the four alternates I came up with for the September kit.  I tell ya, that corn card was a doozy to incorporate into an alternate!  I did it though and I really like how they each turned out.  You can see the videos on Facebook in my September album if you click HERE.  If you'd rather view them on YouTube you can find them on my PP alternates playlist HERE.  If you watch the waterfall card video, know that is a little different format than I usually do.  I usually just walk you through how to create the alternate.  This time I was doing a FB live so I could get feedback on my camera and microphone change from my previous live.  There were a lot of people saying I wasn't very loud so I was trying something new and what better way to test than to go live with all those people that were having issues!!  I was happy to know it was way better, but the video needed some editing to get out some of my chit chat.  Normally where I would pause and do something off camera, it is there this time.  So pardon my longer video, just fast forward a bit here n there.  Thanks for watching them!!

See you next month with more alternates!

September Christmas Cards

It's the 25th of the month and that means it's time for a Chrsitmas card video.  Tonight I did a one sheet wonder that used the striped paper from the Modern Christmas 12 x 12 pack.  I got the design idea from Mary Knabe at our retreat a week or so ago.  I thought it would be fun to use for a quick stack of Christmas cards.  You can see the video here on YouTube.

Casing the catalog this week

This week for my live video I decided to use my Autumn Toile suite and case one of the cards that SU had in the catalog.  I did two different cards with the same layout.  I just wanted to show how the catalog is such a great resource for ideas and then your noggin can interpret what it sees and come up with another option for the same card!  This suite is super pretty and I'm really getting a lot of use out of it.  You can see the video on YouTube here.

The first card is the catalog case and the second is my take on what I see when I look at it.  Both are missing the deer that is in the catalog!!  I knew I needed it and just kept right on creating.  I did add it for the video when I had the ah ha moment!!  LOL.
